Join us for a vibrant journey through the Japanese Festival 2025 in Box Hill, Melbourne — captured by Geoff Cavanagh and featuring Grace Liu in traditional Yao attire.

Held on May 25th, 2025 at Box Hill Town Hall, this beloved community event drew over 6,000 attendees and showcased the rich culture, music, and traditions of Japan. Grace explored the full festival experience — from taiko drumming and classical dance performances to delicious street food, sake tasting, arts, crafts, and cultural demonstrations.

Organized by the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Japanese Society of Melbourne, and Japan Club of Victoria, this year’s theme was “紡ぐ TSUMUGU” — weaving together tradition and community.
