Itai Guberman
Founder & CEO
Itai is an Israeli-Australian independent filmmaker. He is a director, producer and scriptwriter. Itai was born in 1974 in Israel, then raised in Australia from the age of 14. In 2010, he returned to Israel and completed a Masters in Film & Cinema at Tel-Aviv University. He also holds a Bachelor Degree in Business from La Trobe University in Australia.
Itai has thus far written and directed several short films, including: Ivy (2017), Dolphin (2016), Third Temple (2014, co-writer/co-director with Asaf Angel) and The Collector (2007, co-written with Peter Angel and co-directed with Thanassi Arthur Panagiotaras). He has also written and directed the comedy web series The Bruised Spring’s Teens (2015).
Itai is the CEO and Founder of MyIndie Productions Pty Ltd., an independent film production company working out of Australia.
He has written numerous additional scripts, some of which are currently in development.
Ivy recently ended a very successful festival run, having screened all over the world, including USA, Canada, Ireland, Kosovo and the Philippines, to name a few, and won a number of awards, including several Best Film Awards and two Best Director Awards for Guberman.
Itai is currently working on his first feature film project, Revelation, which was due to be completed in 2020, but has been postponed indefinitely due to Covid-related complications. The next release, written and directed by Itai, is scheduled to be The Bruised Spring’s Teens: The Movie, a feature film version of the previously released web series, due for release in late 2021.
