Amber Dawn Fox

Actress

Amber Dawn Fox was born on April 15, 1986 in IndianapolisIndiana. She lived there with her parents and younger brother until she was 12. After spending her middle school and high school years in Florida, she moved to North Carolina. She still resides there with her husband and three children.

Amber graduated from a local community college with an Associate’s degree in Accounting as the distinguished graduate of her class. She worked as an accountant at a car dealership for a few years before attempting a career change by going back to school for nursing.

During those years, Amber discovered the film industry. She got her start working on set in 2009, when she happened across a random ad looking for background extras for the television show One Tree Hill. She applied for and worked on that show 6 different times over the next 2 years in her spare time. She enjoyed being on set, and working as a background extra became her new hobby. Over the next few years she worked on many popular TV shows and movies such as: Dear John, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, Nashville, Under the Dome, and Dumb and Dumber To.

After 5 years of doing background extra work in her spare time, Amber knew that the film industry was no longer just a hobby, it was her passion. She wanted to make a step up from doing background work to speaking roles, so at the beginning of 2014 she began taking acting classes and auditioning. She soon landed a couple of roles in local student and short films.

In the summer of 2014, Amber Dawn Fox was faced with her life changing decision. She was accepted into the nursing program that she had been working hard over the past year to get into. She also was offered a role that, if she accepted, would mean dropping out of nursing school. She accepted the role and has been working in the industry full time ever since.

The role that was the life changing decision was her role on The Walking Dead as Officer Bello one of Dawn’s people at Grady Memorial Hospital in season 5. Being a part of one of the most popular TV shows helped Amber start to build a fan base that continue to follow all her current projects as well. She enjoys appearing at comic cons to meet fans and promote her upcoming and past work. She continues to land lead and supporting roles and work in the industry.

Amber Dawn Fox has many independent credits to her name as well; including the lead roles of Clarissa in Beasts of the Field and Evie in The Haunting of Four Points (available now on Amazon Prime). She also portrayed the supporting role of Brenda in Tarnished Notes (based on a true story and available now on iTunes and Google Play), among many others.
