Badass Bunyip:

A Mythical Creature Resurfaces

and it has no regard for Social Distancing!

As most of you know, Australia, The Land Downunder has many scary, life-threatening creatures, from snakes, spiders and drop bears, to the bushfires and the pandemic. But none more fearsome than the legendary, mythical Bunyip. An unstoppable killing machine with no rhyme nor reason. Just a thirst for the hunt. Nothing is more deadly than a Bunyip on the rampage! Especially one who which does not adhere to social distancing rules!

When Dazza and Shazza accidentally decide on an Aboriginal sacred site for their picnic lunch, they get more than they bargained for.

Badass Bunyip is an upcoming wacky comedy-horror feature film, produced by David Black, directed by Gerardo Cheirchia and starring Anastasia C. Kouloukas and David Black.

Black: “It’s a schlocky, gory, unrelenting romp of black humour, blood and Aussie colloquialisms so thick that they would break Google Translate entirely if you were to try to decipher them.”

“After Colonial settlement in Terra Australis, modern society has continually encroached on nature until all that remains in the inner city suburb of St. Kilda is one tiny patch of native bushland, surrounded by skyscrapers, a shopping strip, a sports stadium and the busiest roads in the country. Deep within it remain all the unknown horrors of a past world, slumbering quietly until they are disturbed and let loose with a vengeance.

This is a movie with things you have never before seen, from the risen spectre of the Kadaicha man to Mimi spirits, the ghost of a long dead convict and of course, a Bunyip!

Caught up in this mayhem are countless innocent victims who otherwise might have gone on to live happy and productive lives if only Dazza and Shazza had not blundered into an Aboriginal sacred site.”

David Black plays Dazza, an uncouth Aussie bogan from the suburbs who just wants to get his girl Shazza to a secluded spot on Christmas day, in the hopes of getting some privacy… wink, wink. Anastasia C. Kouloukas takes on the role of Shazza, an Aussie “sheila”, who doesn’t mind a beer or two, but thinks that “a picnic should also include a few sangers, or at least something solid to get your laughing gear around.”

David, Anastasia and Gerardo have previously collaborated on a a couple of short film projects, so this is familiar territory for this “unholy trinity”, only this time in a feature-length film. The three previously worked together the bondage and gore fest of Sinister Symbiosis and the dystopian sci-fi drama Parental Duties.

Their threesome’s latest abomination, a.k.a. Badass Bunyip is schedule for an online release, sure to stain our screens with blood and gore, in July!

Stay tuned for the release and in the meantime, check out the newly released trailer, below!

Congratulations, David, Anastasia, Gerardo and Team!
