Film Review

By the Geezer of Oz

“A troubled young woman takes up residence in a gothic apartment building where she must confront a terrifying evil.” [IMDb]

A clichéd idea that’s been done to death (pardon the pun) with an ending that really fizzled after an ok middle.

Even the presence of personal favourite Julie Benz (Dexter, Roswell, Buffy, Angel) in a starring role couldn’t rescue this lackluster effort.  It was, however, nice to see Toby Huss (Martyrs 2015, The Invitation, TV’s Halt and Catch Fire), Fionnula Flannagan (The Others, The Guard, Kill the Irishman), Josh Stamberg (Legion, Dark Skies) and horror darling and longtime favourite, Danielle Harris (The Halloween films, Urban Legend, Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet, Hatchet II & III, Stake Land, Shiver, See No Evil 2, Victor Crowley) on the screen.

Ultimately uninspiring. 5/10.
