In Production: Badass Bunyip
Evil is brewing…
Right now, somewhere in Melbourne, Australia, evil is brewing. A mythical creature as old as time has re-emerged to protect its territory. We have disturbed its sacred ground and it is now on the hunt… and we are the prey.
Chierchia helms as director while MyIndie featured artist, talented actor/filmmaker David Black acts as producer and stars in the film. The film also stars another MyIndie featured artist, talented filmmaker and actor Tritia DeVisha. Together, DeViSha and Black portray a pair of Aussie bogans, Shazza and Gazza, who try to flee a wild, rampaging bunyip after they decide to use an Aboriginal sacred site for a Christmas picnic, a mistake they are about to heavily pay for.
David Black and Gerardo Chierchia are currently filming the Aussie-schlock feature, Badass Bunyip. A gory horror Christmas comedy that is destined to become an Ozploitation classic.
To those unfamiliar with the bunyip, it is a creature borne of ancient Aboriginal legend. Bunyips were said to be unstoppable killing machines. No rhyme, no reason, no chance!
All that is left is to look forward to the release of this bad taste, orgy of gore and carnage. The film is scheduled to be released later in 2019, so stay tuned!
