Itai Guberman
Filmmaker
Itai is an Israeli-Australian independent filmmaker. He is a director, writer and producer.
Born in Israel, then grew up in Australia from from his early teen years, Itai returned to Israel in 2010 and completed a Masters in Film & Television at Tel-Aviv University. He also holds a Bachelor Degree in Business from La Trobe University in Australia.
Itai has thus far written and directed several short films, including: Ivy (2017), Dolphin (2016), Third Temple (2014, co-writer/co-director with Asaf Angel) and The Collector (2007, co-written with Peter Angel and co-directed with Thanassi Arthur Panagiotaras). He has also written and directed the comedy web series The Bruised Spring’s Teens (2015), which is about to see a feature film version of it released in 2022.
Itai is the CEO and Founder of MyIndie Productions Pty Ltd., an independent film production company working out Australia and currently serves as writer/reviewer and Editor-in-Chief on myindieproductions.com, an Independent Artists Community website, promoting independent artists and their work.
He has written numerous additional scripts, some of which are currently in several stages of development.
Ivy recently ended a very successful festival run, having screened all over the world, including USA, Canada, Ireland, Kosovo and the Philippines, to name a few, and won a number of awards, including several Best Film Awards and two Best Director Awards for Guberman. Dolphin and Third Temple have also experienced successful festival runs.
Itai also has a couple of Associate Producer credits to his name being upcoming features, Mahal Empire‘s Attack of the Unknown and Alex Hernandez‘s Justine.
He is currently working on his first feature film project, Revelation, currently held up due to the Covid pandemic.
