Mahal Empire hits with
Bridge of the Doomed!
In recent years, we at MyIndie Productions have supported many crowdfunding campaigns from many independent artists. Of the most successful campaigners we’ve come across, are Mahal Empire Productions, headed by brothers Michael and Sonny Mahal.
Their last few campaigns included Bus Party to Hell (directed by Rolfe Kanefsky and starring Tara Reid), Art of the Dead (also directed by Kanefsky and starring Tara Reid, Richard Grieco, Sarah French and Robert Donavan, among others) and the upcoming Attack of the Unknown (directed by Brandon Slagle and starring Richard Grieco, Tara Reid, Robert Lasardo, Robert Donavan and many more).
With Attack of the Unknown scheduled for a 2020 release, the Mahal Brothers have already started raising the funds necessary for the budget of their next production… and this one seems to have the potential to be the best of the bunch, the post-apocalyptic horror zombie-creature feature Bridge of the Doomed!

The film is announced to be directed by Michael Su, who along with cinematographer credits for the last three Mahal Empire features also has a couple of feature film directing credits under his belt. Bridge of the Doomed will also star Sarah French, with more participants surely to be announced soon.
The project is currently running a crowdfunding campaign which is tearing through the Indiegogo website, already having reached its initial goal, as well as knocking down a few additional stretch-goals and has currently already raised upward of US$125,000 and continues to rise, on its way to having the funds to make a fantastic horror film to take the indie, and potentially mainstream, world by storm.

The current synopsis is simple and to the point: “A group of soldiers are ordered to hold a bridge during a zombie outbreak, but what lives underneath the bridge, proves to be even more deadly.” [IMDb] We have an apocalypse, zombies, a mysterious vicious creature and finally, a bridge to protect. How can we go wrong? Sounds like just the right dose of horror mayhem to us!

In the meantime, you can check out Bus Party to Hell via several platforms, links below (it is also available via Redbox all over the U.S.). Art of the Dead is scheduled to be released on VOD in September and to hit Walmart shelves in October this year. Attack of the Unknown is due to be released sometime next year, so gear up and prepare yourself for that, as well as Bridge of the Doomed, which should be completed sometimes in 2020. One way or another, this should be fun!
