Shadows of the Night Drops New Trailer + announcing Two Songs by Canadian Trio Freeze The Fall have been added to Soundtrack!

One of the most exciting things about the indie horror scene is how often great collaborations come out of unexpected places. Sometimes it’s planned. Sometimes it just clicks. In the case of Shadows of the Night, a brand new horror feature currently in post-production, it’s a bit of both.
The film is a joint project from two indie outfits on opposite sides of the globe — Infinity Media Productions out of Grand Junction, Colorado, and our very own MyIndie Productions, based in Melbourne, Australia. This marks their first team-up, and if this trailer is any indication, it won’t be their last.
Directed by Todd Braley, who also co-produced and co-wrote the film with our very own Itai Guberman, Shadows of the Night has been brewing for the last couple of years — and it shows. The story centers on a young computer hacker who pokes around the Dark Web and ends up unleashing something far worse than malware. Something evil. Something that targets not only her, but her entire family.
The cast brings a great mix of fresh faces and horror veterans, including newcomer Lilian Davis in the lead, with indie legends Debra Lamb (who also steps in as co-producer) and Bill Oberst Jr. adding serious indie horror cred. Also appearing are Kazuo Salazar, Brii Frank, Michael Oliver, Alexandria Allerheiligen, Peter Goldthwaite, and more.

The brand-new trailer just dropped on the YouTube show The Straight Shooters, co-hosted by Braley and Guberman themselves — and it packs a punch. On that same episode, they revealed an awesome surprise for music fans: the soundtrack will include two tracks from rising Canadian rock trio Freeze The Fall!
In a special segment, the band’s manager Ginny Becker joined the show to chat about how the partnership came together. Then we got a fun pre-recorded video from the band themselves — Quinn Mitzel (vocals/guitar), Aria Becker (bass/vocals), and Jonah Goncalves (drums) — announcing their involvement and hyping up the new trailer.

And the music surprises don’t stop there. Also featured on the show was John Donavan, who composed the score for the film and also contributed a track from his band The Denim Kings. Donavan jumped in to talk shop, sharing some behind-the-scenes insight into the scoring process and his creative approach. Full list of artist and songs committed for the film so far in included below.

Full Straight Shooters Episode:
Braley and Guberman kept the episode lively with stories from the set, answers to viewer questions, and hints that this won’t be the last Straight Shooters episode leading up to the film’s release. Sounds like we’re in for more behind-the-scenes content, new guests, and maybe even more surprises as Shadows of the Night creeps toward its 2025 release.
We’ll be following this one closely. You should too.
