Se7en Questions with Filmmaker, Model and Actress

Poison Rouge

Who are some of the artists, or what aresome of the works that inspired you to get started in your field? Of today’s current artists, who do you draw inspiration from?

My favourite movies are firstly any films that involve Sylvester Stallone; I just love him! Especially in the film Rocky. In horror, my favorites are all the classics — Carpenter, Polanski, Friedkin, etc. I don’t think that I really developed a style yet. It’s impossible after only one feature, but I have a personal vision. My passion for art and painting is very visual, for example, as in Sacrifice.

What have thus far been some of the negatives of being an indie artist in your field?

Domiziano Critopharo and I collaborate on everything, and it’s a pleasure to work with him. When he asked me to direct Sacrifice, I didn’t have to think too much about it. Originally, it was written as a comedy horror, and I changed the comedy elements into a dark tale and the lead actress into a male role. We grew up together, so we think alike. It was a surprise to discover how the nude scenes with Roberto Scorza created so much scandal and stirred many negative reactions. I wonder why horror fans don’t have those problems with female nudity? A bit hypocritical on their part, no?

What have thus far been the positives of being an indie artist in your field?

The sense of freedom, of course.

What have been your favorite completed projects to work on up to this point? Can you tell us a little bit about them?

I just like to have fun and not do ‘girly’ things. I’m an artist without gender. I love to be a provocateur and introduce violence in my projects. I so loved working on the Sacrifice script, largely for the considerable amount of male nudity that I injected into it. It was time to finally see a man exposed and not another girl. This film hurt many male fans but, hey, women watch horror too! As a model, I choose creative offers, not just the regular sexy projects. That is because I really don’t care to be sexy. So, if I do something, it’s because I think it would be interesting to do and I have no regrets.

What projects are you currently working on or have planned for the near future?

This summer I shot one segment for the international anthology 7 Sins… And again have explored the male destruction in comparison to a female evil goddess… I’m sure people will love it!

Where do you see yourself in a few years and what would it take for you to consider your career a success?

I see myself with my boyfriend, my dog and my job as a  personal trainer in the gym that makes me feel strong, healty and helpful to other people that wish to improve their lifestyle in a healty way.

If you couldn’t do this anymore, what career path do you think you would have followed and why?

Filmmaking and acting is not a job or a career for me, it is a passion that I share only with Domiziano. We have fun together and when he comes to me with a potential project, I’m always happy to accept. But this field is not really somewhere I feel that I belong. Beside Domiziano, I only had negative experiences and it is not what I expect from life.
