Exclusive Production Stills!
A few days ago, we had a great chat with MyIndie featured artist, independent filmmaker, Adam Steigert about his currently in post-production, much-anticipated feature film, The Horrific Evil Monsters. We were lucky enough to see a rough-cut of a short scene from the film and we must say, it looks amazing! This film has the potential to be something we do not see enough in indie. It has a comic feel to it and is extremely ambitious, yet we are positive that Adam can pull this off. “The scene shared (privately with MyIndie) is my personal favorite from the film. It is a prime example of perfect wardrobe, set design, casting, lighting and story”, Steigert remarked.
The horror feature film is infused with a monster/creature-feature, as well as superhero/comic atmosphere. It has a little bit of everything. The plot is described as follows: “A secret government agency, code name T.H.E.M. recruits some of the most hazardous horror and science-fiction characters of all-time to fight the four horseman of the apocalypse.” [IMDb]
Steigert adds: “Everyone wants to make a superhero movie, but it takes ingenuity to make an anti-superhero movie with likeable characters. The Horrific Evil Monsters took the impossible and made it believable.” Sounds like this one is going to be a lot of fun!
The production was intensive but team effort always wins and the cast and crew banded together and pulled it off beautifully. When discussing the production, Adam mentioned that “the scale of the locations are epic for an independent film, from shutting down blocks of major cities, to shooting in 30-foot ravines, The Horrific Evil Monsters will give you a superhero feel, on an indie budget.”
Co-written by Adam and wife, as well as writing partner, Kristin Steigert, the film stars MyIndie featured artist Gregory Blair, as well as a long list of talented indie actors, including Bishop Stevens, Kaylee Williams, Jason John Beebe, Jennie Russo, Will Nemi, Norman Queeno, Michael O’Hear, Michael Zsiros, Xia Orozco, Christopher Brechtel, Melodie Roehrig, Dawna Lee Heising and many more.
