Who are some of the artists or some of the works that inspired you to get started in your field? Of today’s current artists, who do you draw inspiration from?

Wes Craven was the one who started my horror addiction. Nightmare on Elm Street was my first horror movie and continues to be my favorite. He was also an inspiration to me to the point I was writing little horror scripts at 13-years-old thinking I would send them to Wes Craven and he would cast me as the star. There’s so many directors I love and am inspired by but Rob Zombie is the one who stands out the most right now.

What have thus far been some of the negatives of being an indie artist in your field?

It’s hard to make it. You have to know the right people and be in the right place at the right time. There’s also a lot of shady people who will promise big things but never follow through. So basically watch your back and never give up. All it takes is the right person to believe in you.

What have thus far been the positives of being an indie artist in your field?

I have met a lot of great people and have witnessed so much talent. The horror community is so supportive and loving and that for me has been amazing to see.

What have been your favorite completed projects to work on up to this point? Can you tell us a little bit about them?

My Broken Halo book series is my biggest accomplishment and something I put my heart and soul into for so many years. I have three in the series all set to release soon. It has finally been picked up by a publisher, Crazy Ink Publishing, and I’m hoping for great things to come from it. My podcast/Youtube show Sacrificial Terror Podcast is what I am currently so proud of and having so much fun with. My co-hosts Sam Mason and Lance Wagner are the only ones I could imagine doing the show with. We have had some great guests on and the list keeps getting better!

What projects are you currently working on or have planned for the near future?

My first book just released and the next two will release shortly after. Also I am excited to see what happens with Sacrificial Terror Podcast. I’ll be a part of Sam Mason’s movie Normal Terror with my co-host Lance Wagner and some of Sam’s other upcoming films. I have high hopes for him because he is such an amazing human being and is so talented and deserves success.

Where do you see yourself in a few years and what would it take for you to consider your career a success?

I’m hoping to be a horror actress and successful author. That’s been my dream since I was 11-years-old. Those are my two dream jobs and I’m fighting every day to make it to the top in both fields. That will be my success and when I’m there I can sit back and remember what it took to get there.

If you couldn’t do this anymore, what career path do you think you would have followed and why?

It’s hard to look beyond your dreams if they weren’t a reality but if I absolutely had to I would say the career I’m currently in, which is the veterinary field. I love my job I just want so much more in this life and I think I’m on the right track.
