A small Appalachian community is left without usable water and clean water supplies have dwindled. One student studying abroad finds out late and experiences unusual symptoms. Running out of water was the least of their worries. Statistically, there are over one hundred chemical or oil spills annually in the United States. West of Chemical Valley takes place in an alternate reality but is loosely based on true events.
