Beasts Of The Field

Post-Production Completed

and Teaser 2 Released!

Following on from last year’s release PaydayA Cut To The Chase Productions now bring you Beasts Of The Field, coming soon in 2019.

It seems talented indie director and MyIndie featured artist, Chase Dudley has been working very hard lately. He released the feature-length heist drama-thriller, Payday, just last year and, as we reported only a few days ago, is already in pre-production for The Damaged Ones, due 2020. Now, we are happy to report that Beasts of the Field has completed post-production and is soon to hit the festival circuit!

The film is produced by the husband and wife team of Chase and Samantha Dudley, who have been working together under A Cut To The Chase Productions for a number of years and a myriad of projects (Payday, Marvelous Mandy, Payton’s Burden and Retribution, which is about to be re-imagined as The Damaged Ones).

The production sees the pairing of Dudley with another MyIndie featured artist, actor/writer/director Gregory Blair (Garden Party Massacre, Deadly Revisions, Fang). Blair not only stars in the film, but has also written additional material to the script by Brentt Slabchuck. Dudley and Blair have continued collaborating, as Gregory also has written the script adaptation for The Damaged Ones, from the original script for Retribution, also by Slabchuck.

Also starring in the film are indie regulars and talented performers, Amber Dawn Fox (The Walking Dead), Tory L. Beckham (Payday, Marvelous Mandy), Ashley Mary Nunes (All Through The House), Savannah Schafer (Sharp Objects), Patrick Alred (Payday, Payton’s Burden, Retribution), Erik Kyr (Angel, The Wicked One) and Keith Nicholson (The Zombie Movie, Marvelous Mandy).Beasts Of The Field sees a somewhat delusional cryptozoologist (Blair) and an ambitious television presenter (Fox) lead an amateur expedition team of misfits into wild, unfriendly forests in the hope of tracking the legendary Thunderbird, which they believe is the ancestor of a prehistoric Pteranodon. What could possibly go wrong, right?

Dudley describes the film as “a very fast paced horror-thriller with a lot of twists and turns”. We cannot wait to see what the team has cooked up for us with this one. A new teaser has just been released today. Check it out:

Sure looks like a hell of a ride. Apparently, shooting the film was a rollercoaster ride of its own, when the cast and crew were caught in a hurricane that made its way from South Carolina and into Kentucky and soaked the entire production. The rain was heavy and somehow added a great effect to the look of the film that ended up better than planned. The team pulled it together and still got through the production with fantastic results. Talk about making the best out of a potentially disastrous situation.

Dudley continues: “Beasts Of The Field is a nice combination of drama/horror/thriller that will keep you glued to your seat. I couldn’t be more pleased with our cast and crew with everything that was up against us in getting this film made, yet we stuck together to bring the best possible project we could deliver.”

Sounds and looks extremely promising!
Stay tuned for more announcement and a review coming in the very near future!
